The INocturn, or Intensified Nocturn, is an intensified camera core especially designed for UV detection. Combining an image intensifier tube (I2 tube) and a low-light Nocturn camera core, the INocturn delivers the advantages of image intensification technology with a high performance CMOS sensor found on a Nocturn camera core.

The sensitive CMOS sensor features image capture of up to 100 fps in full frame mode and 5000 fps in windowing mode resulting in detection enhancement at very low sensitivity enabling single photon detection in the UV spectrum.

Even if INocturn is provided with high UV performances, it is of great interest for integrators to know Photonis can offer this technology in different wavelength spectrums (from 200 nm to 1100 nm), offering a world of possibilities for a plethora of applications.
